Highway 16 is currently closed due to wildfire.

Limited visibility with smoke between Robson River Bridge and BC AB Border for 61.5 km

Highway 16 is open with a special travel advisory for east of Mt. Robson between Hargreaves Rd and BC / AB Border. There is no stopping in Jasper National Park and no services are available in Jasper. Fuel is available at Mount Robson visitors centre and Hinton Alberta. Mount Robson Provincial Park is open.

Effective May 17 2024 - Illegal to transport your watercraft with the drain plug still in place.

Effective May 17 2024 in B.C. it is now illegal to transport your watercraft with the drain plug still in place.

Before transporting a boat or other watercraft, owners/operators must remove the drain plug and drain all water on dry land including all internal compartments such as ballasts, bilges, and live wells.
