Ski Hills in the Thompson Okanagan

The cities in the South Thompson are built around the South Thompson River and are located right next to their very own ski mountains, Sun Peaks Resort and Harper Mountain. Due to its unique climate, summers are hot here and winters are cold and snowy, creating outdoor recreational activities year round from hiking, mountain biking, and golf to skiing and cross country skiing.

Along with the food and wine culture of the Central Okanagan, outdoor lovers will be excited by the extensive trail networks, rock climbing opportunities, and Big White Ski Resort, located 45 minutes outside of Kelowna.
