Reconnecting in the North Thompson March 4 - Sun Peaks
Spend your day enjoying the atmosphere of Sun Peaks and shop at the 7 Celebrations Artisan Market in the Sun Peaks Centre Meeting Room. We are lucky enough to have Kenthen Thomas and Paul Mitchel, Secwépemc Storytellers, join us to share stories and sharing their cultures and traditions.
Once you have finished shopping and admiring the work of local artisans, spend your day enjoying performances from Duane Marchand, the Sage Hills Drum Group, Soul Patch, and the headliner of the 7 Celebrations Reconnecting in the North Thompson event, THE TREWS, a six-time Juno nominated rock band!
The artisan market and day performers can be found in the Sun Peaks Centre, located at the top of the village, across from the Kookaburra Lodge, beside the skating rink.
Day visitor parking is available on Village Place or P2. Limited accessible parking is available onsite.
Washrooms are available onsite.
No dogs allowed. No ski boots or shoe grips allowed.
Reconnecting in the North Thompson March 3 - Sun Peaks
Spend your day in the fresh powdery snow on the slopes on March 3rd and end your day with an Apres Ski enjoying performances in the upper village and Morrisey’s Public House. Enjoy music from Margit Sky Project and The Young’uns.
Reconnecting in the South Okanagan - Summerland February 19
Wrap up the Family Day weekend and 7 Celebrations event with family skating at the Summerland Arena starting at 1:00pm to 3:30pm, and 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The kids will enjoy facepainting and live entertainment by super crazy, Silly of the Valley that will entertain during two live performances at 2:00pm and 5:00pm.
If you get hungry, don’t worry there will be a concession available!

Reconnecting in the South Okanagan - Summerland February 18
The Summerland community and visitors are invited to enjoy a full day of celebrations to highlight the local culture and local businesses of this vibrant community. Support local and shop Summerland’s main street to visit local businesses and check out their activities as part of the weekend events. Come by the Summerland Arena for the main event of the weekend! Featuring a market from 11:00am - 4:00pm, that will highlight local artisans and vendors, and live cultural and music performances that will entertain throughout the day from 12:00pm - 9:30pm. Kids will enjoy the bouncy castles and outdoor entertainment from locals Mandy Cole, and Kim & Kevin. As well as Indigenous carver, Les Louis
Attendees can look forward to live music performances from Indigenous storytellers, drummers and dancers, Emily McDonald’s Highland School of Dance, and headliners Bobbi Bovenzi, Moving Lines and Raquel Cole at the main stage from 6:00pm - 9:30pm.

Enjoy an artisan market from 11:00AM-3:00PM in the Chilcoot Lodge that will include live performances and food. While in the village, be sure to check out the finished Snow Sculptures spread throughout and find out which is the winner of the 2023 Sculpting competition at 12:00PM. Vernon February 4
Join the 7 Celebrations Reconnecting in the North Okanagan/Winter Carnival at the Vernon Recreation Centre and help us celebrate and reconnect to the culture in the North Okanagan. The celebration of culture will feature live performances by Kelowna Bhangra Academy, Sadok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, North Okanagan Pipes and Drums, Juno Award Nominated The Oot n' Oots family act and interactive experiences that will allow you to discover and explore the many amazing cultures and traditions in the North Okanagan. Come and learn about some of the different cultural groups through song, dance, food, a market, and activities. The diversity of the people in the North Okanagan is what makes it one of the best places to live.
SilverStar Mountain Resort February 3
Open the 7 Celebrations Reconnecting in the North Okanagan/Winter Carnival weekend in the heart of the mountain, the Silver Star Village.
From 5:00PM-8:15PM at the NATC Theatre the 7 Celebrations Indigenous Showcase event will bring people from all walks of life together, through an evening of Indigenous storytelling, live performances, and film.
A suggested donation of $7 will go towards fundraising for the completion of the film ‘Coming Home For the Children.’ With that donation, you’ll receive an Indigenous Social Media Calendar from Shop First Nations (1 calendar per $7(+) donation).
After the intermission, enjoy short films followed by interactive Q&A with guest filmmakers Mariel Belanger (Reminders For The People & Gone Fishing), Charlene SanJenko with Wayne Christian (Coming Home For The Children), and Kiri Geen (Kiri And The Girl).

Reconnecting in the Boundary Country - Christina Lake
Close out the 7 Celebrations/Winter Fest weekend with a Polar Bear Dip in Christina Lake in support of a local charity. To warm up, enjoy a Pancake Breakfast, closing remarks, and live performances at the Christina Lake Community Hall.

Celebrate the winter season and reconnect at Christina Lake’s Winter Fest. Saturday, the Snow Pitch tournament will continue along with other sporting events and activities for adults and children alike.
To warm up, come inside the Christina Lake Hall to enjoy an artisan market during the day with live performances throughout the day and evening along with delicious food. Guests can expect performances from Francis Baptiste, live performances by Les Folles Jambettes, the Heels, Devin Coyote, Luminosity, Under the Rocks, Silas Lawrence, and kids performer Silly of the Valley.
