Wine Lovers in the Okanagan Valley

For wine lovers everywhere, the sun-soaked Okanagan Valley is paradise. BC’s major wine-producing region—home to the world’s most diverse and complex soil system—is filled with tasting opportunities, wine and culinary festivals, and farmers’ markets showcasing the region’s agricultural treasures. Cycle the scenic Myra Canyon, a decommissioned rail trail crossing historic train trestles that passes through tunnels as it arcs around a steep canyon high above Kelowna. In Vernon, pop into the inaugural Craft Beer & Cider Festival. In Penticton, enjoy a laidback vibe in one of two cities in the world situated between two lakes. In Osoyoos, Canada’s only true desert is a sacred place to the Osoyoos Indian Band, who share their history and culture through a cultural centre, luxury resort, Indigenous-inspired restaurant, and the first Indigenous-owned winery in North America. Explore vast vineyards, lush orchards, and spectacular hiking routes, and remember—an award-winning vintage is just a winery away.
